When
you sign up for our flag lease program, we will insert a PVC
plastic sleeve with a cap in the ground near your front curb.
No brackets
or fixtures are
attached to your home. On each of the five holidays, we will
set a 3’x5’ flag
on a 10’ pole in the sleeve. The flags remain the property
of the Daybreak Rotary Club...we will set out the flag, pick it
up, and
store it for you. You get to enjoy being part of a neighborhood
filled with patriotic color. It’s that easy!
Presidents Day (Feb 18th)
Memorial
Day (Last Mon. in May)
Flag Day (June 14)
Independence Day (July 4th)
Labor Day/(1st Monday in Sept)
Veterans Day (November 11th)
Rotarians
are dedicated men
and women in your
community who live by the motto, “Service Above Self.” They
provide humanitarian services to people throughout the community
and the world. The proceeds of the Flag Project will be used
to support the many good works done by the organization.
We
feel our Flag Project provides benefits in two ways:
First, five times a year our community comes together to show
its patriotic spirit. Neighborhoods across our city
are decorated with waving flags, and it is an inspiring sight!
Second,
and most important, this is a fund-raiser for Greenville Daybreak Rotary
Club. Our “Service Above Self” motto means that we are dedicated
to helping others. Thanks to this program, we were able to donate
over $18,000 to charities in Greenville and Hunt County during 2007.
That’s money that went to work making a difference right here
at home.
